Exactly 1 year ago today our worlds were changed forever. Lee called me several times throughout the day while I was at work telling me he didnt feel well. I told him call the ambulance and Im getting dad and we will meet you at the hospital. As we were pulling up in the parking lot my phone rung. These words will never leave my mind, Lee was crying and said, Mom, I need you, where are you? I told him we just parked. He said get in here now Joey and I ran back to his room. Next thing I know the Dr is telling us they found cancer and he needs to be transported to Philly. We called all his siblings, they got there fast. And his aunt and uncle. Luckily Eric was home on leave from the Army. Then I called Mary and told her get here quick. I Remembered trying to be strong because i was still processing everything and had to tell everybody. Hour later joey and i are following the ambulance and Lee was put in ICU and we were told the next 48 hours its touch and go. Oh how i wish i could have saved him with love. My son, my beautiful baby. My child.
