Exactly 2 weeks ago I watched Mike Logan get into his truck and drive away from me at Rhineharts on Washington road. The image of him driving across in front of me and waving out of the window of his truck hasnt faded in my mind. We hear all the time you arent promised tomorrow but we hear it so much we dont value that statement. You really ARENT PROMISED TOMORROW. If you love someone show them. If you dont... tell them. Set yourself free as well as them. Make your life what you need it to be. Live for the future but not at the expense of the joy of the day. Work hard. Play hard. Dont waste time. Love God! Hug someone you love. REALLY HUG someone that needs to know that you love them. Logan was the poster child for living for the moment. He did what he wanted when he wanted to do it. He lived an adventurous, spontaneous life full of dancing, loud country music, lots of friends, good times, and true to form he touched many people. (His friends will get it). He taught me how to live and how to love again. In the last 3 weeks of Logans life he set a lot of things straight. 40 had a big impact on him and he didnt waste time trying to make the most of his life. So, GO! Tell someone you love them. Kiss longer! Hug tighter! Dont waste your time angry! Live like you were dying. No regrets. And make sure those who love you have lots of nice things to say about you when you go. Logan, you made me who I am today. Taught me to love again and to truly live for the first time. Im sure you and Hank Williams are having yourselves a ball!! And as much as I will miss dancing with you, you finally get to dance with your grandma again! Im in good hands and we will follow your lead!
