Exactly 3 months ago I went under the knife for hip surgery. My doctor (who is the UCLA head of Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine) said I was in need of a total replacement which would have ended my goaltending days. THAT WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! So we discussed and decided on another option that would allow me to play hockey again, and after 3 months of intense rehab tonight is the night!!!! I am so excited to put the pads on again! I think I might let out a little scream of joy when the first puck hits me! Dont know why I am even posting this except to say how thankful I am for another chance to play the greatest game in the world!
