Exactly a year ago 30-40 missionaries slept in the Staten Island chapel. Shampoo/Soap/toothpaste etc. was provided by Natalie Jangula and the rest of the Staten Island members to clean up for the days work. I will never forget the faces of those whom we served. Taking the longest walk down Hylan Blvd with Kody Hunter, Elder Kellon Izatt, Daniel Heaps, Jared Alvarado, & Monty Campbell, because someone was sure that the police would pull us over for having a packed car. Dry wall, floor boards, sofas, everything was water logged so we threw it all out. When the day was over, new found hope was shown onthe faces of the individuals whom werhelped. The missionaries were hauled from the area we were serving in by an Army truck that was also provided by the members. People talk about the Pizza in NY, we had plenty to the point where it was for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This by far was the most memorable time on my mission. God bless New York!
