Exactly one year ago today our whole world changed when we found out baby had complex heart defects at 13 weeks gestation.. Ill never forget that bright white room filled with memory bears, grieving pamphlets and tons of tissue. Waiting nervously for the cardiologist to explain to me their findings was the longest 2 hours of my life! Being told baby had 0% if born premature, the cardiologist told me it was best to induce and have baby rather than intervene as a preemie; they continued to persuade me up until the minute of having him! They knew my history of our 23 weeker would likely repeat, all I did was hold onto faith that baby would stay full term. I made that decision to continue my pregnancy and its a decision I was going to stick with even if baby had downs like they said it would. I was thankful for every day and hugged my tummy a little tighter praying for a miracle. Here he is today defying his 0% chance and the amazing part is the cardiologist that diagnosed Dominic is his main doctor. Ive been told numerous times how sorry they were for pressuring me into terminating, their saying was they dont want to give anyone false hope 💙 Dominic had a good day, but he does have a runny nose going on once again. The sickness just keeps continuing in our family, tomorrow Dominic will have his RSV shots. He weighs 11lbs 4oz 💙💙
