Exc. Condition. There is one stray lacquer check on the top, and one small spot on the back of the neck in the finish. All in all, it is in great shape, it looks great and has no hidden problems. Frets are great and show no wear. Spruce top with subtle sunburst finish, and multiple Ivoroid bindings. Highly figured Maple back, sides and neck. The back, fingerboard and peghead all have multiple Ivoroid bindings as well. Radiused Ebony fingerboard with graduated pearl dot inlays. Ebony peghead overlay with Collings logo, and vine inlays in pearl. Gold Schaller tuners with Ivoroid buttons. Gold tailpiece. Sound is very fine, with lots of strength and character. It is a classic hard Maple with Adirondack sound. Knuckle-rap bold attack, with clear ringing bell tones that follow. Great chop with bare touch.
