Excellence is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good. Life is filled with encounters. Being normal is very common such that when you are something else, the spotlight is on you. God is a strategist of the uncommon. Moses’ attention was caught because God did the extraordinary; a burning bush that was not consumed. Humanity will always turn aside to see things that are not of the norm. You can be more and do more the moment you put in an extra effort to do things differently. God speaks to us sometimes and we are too busy to listen. It’s ungodly not to be observant. We are naturally inclined towards anything that catches our attention. 1 Kings 10:1-5 A mere man, anointed by God, excels, and humanity turns aside to see. Excellence is a self-marketing tool. The news of excellence travels. Excellence attracts. The purpose of excellence is not to show off; it is to show forth the glory of God. God designed church to be a wonder to the secular. Change is a compulsory thing, but growth is a choice. You will have to do something different from what everybody else does. The moment you begin to think of a finish line in your race for excellence, you are setting yourself up for mediocrity. Yesterday’s formula for success can be today’s recipe for failure. We ought to evolve with time and be the change we want to see. Excellence and spirituality are inseparable. Luke 5:3 You are the greatest obstacle to your excellence. Dont compete with the world, compete with yourself.
