Excellent news yesterday, looks like I’ll be accepted onto one of the Everest Expeditions as I know have the require experience. Just need to sort out the finances, which will determine which year I go for 2014/2015. My original plan I was to climb Cho Oyu next season (5th highest mountain in the world) as part of my training, and Everest in 2014/2015, but my real goal is the 7 summits, that is, the highest summit on each continent. Been able to drop Cho Oyu will help significantly with my end goal. The money and time saved can go towards at least two of the other 7 summits, Acongagua (Argentina), or Elbrus (Europe).
