Here are comments of the writer, Charlene Jones Lerch: My husband said something that surprised me about a particular religious group, after he had watched something on the news, and it made me think of WWII and the camps that the Japanese people were sent to for protection ... protection against them from us and us from them. I told him we should not be in that frame of mind anymore and that we cant just pack up and move a whole group of people because of fear of a few that might go rogue and become a terrorist due to fanaticism. We need to be alert and accountable to the things around us and that means with anything, whether it be race, religion or politics. I think the problem is we need to move beyond the way most were raised not to squeal or tattle tale. We do need to be our brothers keepers when we see something wrong. Its time to stop turning a blind eye to our surroundings and speak out so we dont have to walk around in fear. Someone said we need to be more psychic. Yep, that too. But we all need to act in kindness and not hate. Thats when I was asked to write this blog. Not all dogs are going to behave as another but that doesnt mean we dont trust any of them or destroy all of them because of one or a few.
