Except for one. This weekend was full of joy, happiness and excitement in Shepherdstown. There were dogs herding sheep, unusual breeds of dogs parading about, canine contests-all dogs all of the time. Except for one. There were people dressed up raising money for an excellent cause. Except for one. Only a handful of people know about the tragic loss of a 32 year old man this weekend. Only a few of his friends saw his FB post alerting them to his pain, and intentions. Those few reacted, but it was to late. Ben. I didnt know him but I knew of him. He lived around the corner of me, walking his dog, and tinkering with his car or motorcycle. He was found in a beautiful spot overlooking the river by the railroad bridge. He had ended his life in this beautiful location. This happened before the tragic death of Robin Williams. His friends, never had any idea this was coming. Except for one. A tragic loss close to home.
