Dr. Majak D Aghoot gave an impartial riveting, and well-articulated speech that revealed: what he called push over cumulative issues have caused conflict. He outlines issues of 1955, 1972, 1983, 2004, 2006, and 2008. He asserts problems were allowed to accumulate, and push over convention after convention with thinking they will be resolved in the next convention. Dr. Majak accepts that South Sudan is at war because of collective failure of our leaders. Roles of a deputy (Dr. Majak emphasis discouraged me of wanting to become deputy any time soon). We have achieved independence but we are still collective tribes, the challenge would be creating unified South Sudanese citizens--Majak applaud follows!! Dr. Majak served as deputy Minister for National Security for six years and half in the government of National Unity, and deputy Minister for Defense for one year and half. While working in the GOSS the Hilglig War broke out, austerity measured were introduced. I worked in the government at time budget was limited he added. Setting records, the president guards battalions does not report or answer to chief of staff, Minister for defense or deputy minister for defense. They are exclusively answerable to president and vice president. His answers on coup: he asserts soldiers who helped president would have fought along his side if he planned a coup. He said if I had planned coup, I would have organized at least 500 soldiers to fight that night. Because I am security, and LT general in the army, there no way I could be collected in my house. If this was a coup, shouldnt we think of alternative if plan A failed, what is next?
