Excerpt from: Some Monument to Last I found most of my comfort in my older sister. I trusted no one and stayed quiet, uncertain about what the future held. One day, my aunt introduced me to God, and so for many nights I made room in my bed for this invisible, but very real and comforting God. My aunt taught me how to kneel and pray before the Lord; it’s a posture I appreciate and turn to for strength and understanding. I believe the saying that kneeling is the posture of the wise.
