Excerpt from my interview with the Sacramento Bee: What is your message ahead of the Nov. 4 election? Freedom works, and it is time that we put it back to work. We need to restore those traditionally, uniquely American principles of individual liberty, constitutionally limited government and personal responsibility that produced the prosperity that this country has enjoyed for centuries. I fought very hard for two (committee) assignments: Budget, because it’s absolutely essential to the country to get our spending in order; and Natural Resources, because that’s of absolutely critical importance to the local economy and the health and safety of our communities.
