Excerpts from an overnite stay in Nashville where we had a really good date. Thing 1: My wife and I are having dinner at Carrabbas in Nashville, just us two, outside on the patio. Nice night. Married forever, both with wedding rings on. At the end of the meal, as we didnt save room for dessert, the waiter asks Will this be on one ticket or split?. I just kinda laughed and said one please. At first I thought, How cool...we havent been asked that in 100 years. Then I realized.. he would have to have split the ticket on two waters and.......... One pizza.? I guess it could happen. Thing 2: Remember Lovey from Gilligans Island? I have good news. Shes still alive and working at the Mens Fragrance counter at Macys in Green Hills Mall. I called them to ask about some cologne I like and she said (best Lovey voice). Oh my, dahling, we havent had THAT! fragrance in THIS! store in, lets see, at least 10 years now. And then.. she laughed right in my ear. I was nice and said thank you. But my Lexington was really wanting to come out of me and say..... Thatd be about the same amount of time since you last had a date.
