::: Exchange gifts with your neighbours ::: Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “O Muslim women! No one of you should consider insignificant [a gift] to give to her neighbour even if it is [a gift of] the trotters of a sheep.” [Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim] Points of Benefit: This Hadith (Prophetic tradition) encourages us to exchange gifts with our neighbours. The rich should give gifts according to his means and the poor according to his means. The recipients of these gifts, particularly the rich, should not look down on what have been gifted. If we make it a habit to exchange gifts with our neighbours from time to time, it is expected that it will help to maintain good relationships with them.
