I recently became FIDF’s new National Executive Director, and I could not be more thrilled to be starting my New Year with an organization of unparalleled importance. As both a soldier and a commander in the IDF, I’ve seen just how important the support of the FIDF community is to the wellbeing of Israel’s soldiers. Everything from a full week of rest and recreation to a simple note of thanks can lessen the burden they carry on behalf of Jewish people around the world. Send a note of gratitude to current IDF soldiers and veterans of the Israel Defense Forces. Their job is to look after Israel. Ours is to look after them. I come to FIDF with over 30 years of military experience, having served as a soldier and senior officer in the IDF Paratroopers Brigade, Commander of the Givati Brigade, Head of two IDF Divisions, and Deputy Chief of the Ground Forces Command. I also served as the Military Secretary to Prime Ministers Ehud Olmert and Benjamin Netanyahu, advising them on key strategic military and national security decisions. The challenges that face the men and women of the IDF are greater today than ever before. The strength, bravery, and determination that these soldiers demonstrate on a daily basis is truly remarkable, and I am so proud to have served in their ranks. But the love, care, and warmth from the FIDF community is likewise impressive, and I am honored that the next phase of my life will be at the helm of FIDF. I have witnessed how much IDF soldiers appreciate the work of FIDF, and I look forward to leading that work and growing FIDF’s ability to help Israel’s soldiers, with your support. Before Yom Kippur, join me and send an IDF soldier a quick note of appreciation! I’m proud to announce that, thanks to your generosity, we already started the New Year off right by hitting our goal of raising $100,000 before Rosh Hashanah!
