Exciting news for Fur & Feathers Pet Training!! After several months of deliberation (...ok, personal reasons have sped up this process as well) I have decided that Fur & Feathers Pet Training will be relocated to Wilmington, Delaware (USA)!! As of now, we will be on hiatus, but starting in August we will be back up and running in Wilmington and covering the Delaware Valley area (this basically covers Philadelphia and Reading PA, Camden NJ, and Wilmington DE.) After doing some research on the pet trainers in these areas, I was disappointed by how many are still advocating out of date, aversive training techniques, whereas here in Newcastle upon Tyne the majority of the trainers are on the right track and using positive reinforcement based methods. I am eager to get started in the US and put my knowledge and experience to good use for those who need it most. Of course I am sad to leave the UK, and was hoping to have a bit more time here, but life doesnt always go as planned now does it? I will miss all of the people and animals I have met while I was here, and do hope you continue to keep me up to date with any progress you and your pet are making. Id love to see the puppies from Puppy Preschool all grown up, and the rowdy dogs from the obedience classes happily listening to their owners because they want to! Maybe some of you will continue with Treibball and really get it going when I am gone? :) In return, I will keep posting interesting and useful articles, photos, videos, blogs, all sorts of stuff so you can get your daily dose of animal info. Unfortunately this also means that my current Treibball pop-in sessions will no longer be running, and the July classes are cancelled. I hope you can forgive me for these sudden changes, and I hope any American followers look forward to me returning home. I cannot wait to get back and help my community. :) And yes, Nadia is coming with me. Wish us luck! -Vic
