Exciting news for endangered condors in the Arizona-Utah population: Two of three wild-hatched chicks made it to the critical fledging milestone this year! While two may not seem like an impressive number, it is given that condors dont mature and reproduce until they are at least 6 years old (and often older) and they only produce one egg every other year. These raptors are one of the slowest reproducing species in the world. Below is a photo taken by our partner, The Peregrine Fund, of one of the fledglings.
