Exciting news from our Charity Director, Heather Armstrong, who is currently in The Gambia. This morning she went to view the building progress of our new centre in Makasutu with Lawrence Williams from Mandina Lodges. It has been decided to make the building double story and have student accommodation above, this will give the centre more land room. Heather is confident it will be something very special when it is finished, that will not only provide treatment for the horses and donkeys but provide a facility where local people can learn many much needed skills such as harnessing and farriery. This new centre will be able to provide facilities to carry out more surgical procedures by increasing links with the British veterinary profession. The new centre is close to the Makasutu Culture Forest and Mandina Eco Lodges with exceptional amenities that are well worth a visit, so we hope that when we have completed the centre we can welcome lots of our supporters. gambiahorseanddonkey.org.uk/donate.htm
