Exciting story to tell the world of facebook. So all day Ive worked on this desk trying to put maps all over it. Come to find out when my father got home that this was my grandfathers desk he had bought years before my father was born. I found out that accidently, many of the maps I had chosen were actually places he had been and Chicago, which map I primarily used, was where my fathers family had originally first came when arriving to the United states from czechoslovakia. I had also chose Hawaii where my uncle and Grandma had lived for a period of time. I now know I have to find a Nebraska and Wyoming map now, since that is also where my Grandfather had lived and his cabin that he loved was located. Its just odd that now what I thought was just an old desk is now a relic of my families origin that I can continue on. I might add Fort Worth so that my children will also see my legacy as well. Absolutely amazing.
