So lets look at new HC John Fox and his newly hired top assistances and why we should be feeling good. One would say if you have Peyton Manning you should put up a ton of points but this was a more balanced offense than meets the eye. Peyton lead the offense under Gase to 291 pass yards per/gm (4th in the league) but balanced the offense with 112 rushing yards per/gm (15th in the league). This balance also speaks highly in the play calling because the offense dictated the game with 31 mins in time of possession per/gm and a turnover ration of +5...these are stats that reflect great coaching and execution. Considering the Bears were on the opposite of all these important stats under Trestman, Gase however, although young and the label of being a Manning Flunky bring a legitimate play caller that will make the Bears offensive unit immediately better. Dont expect the Bears to throw as much as the Broncos did because of the current QBs history with turnovers but expect a more run balanced game plan predicated on taking advantage of the skill sets with one of the leagues most talent units (Forte, Bennett, Jeffery and Marshall: all have been All Pros) vertically off play action and power/zone runs. As for defense, I cant tell you how on charge I am to see the leagues most physical and nasty DCs former 49ers play caller Vic Fangio heading the Bears defense. Facts are facts although hes had possibly one of the most talented units for the last 4 seasons the style of play is a direct result of his scheme and coaching style. His aggressive stance on defense brings a coach that had San Fran giving up 21 ppg (10th in the league), 320 yards per/gm (5th in the league) thats with missing the team top 2 pass rushers and best 2 defensive players. If you havent seen the Niners in action they along with the Seahawks have the most feared secondaries in the league which gave up only 220 passing yards per/gm (5th in the league) plus 23 INTs. #Ballhawks As for the front 7: dynamic, the Vic doesnt let you run on him evident by the 100 yards per/gm (7th in the league) with one 2 running backs last year hitting that benchmark on his unit. Yes he runs a base 3-4 but on film he has 4-3 principals on sub packages with unique 3rd down blitz packages and formations. #Sumnasty As of now this offseason should bring Bears fans confidence: New GM (Pace) top tier Player personal guy from Super Bowl organization, New HC (Fox) 2x Super Bowl coach and has 120 wins on his belt with a great history or success and top notch Defense, New OC (Gase) young but ready: play caller for the leagues Top 2 offense the past 2 years and has been dubbed best young offensive mind in football and New DC (Fangio) one of the Best 3 Defensive brains in the world Ill take it!!!!!
