Excuse me please while I have my little rant. I really do not understand men. They breathe air, drink water, have 2 arms and 2 legs but I swear thats where the similarities end. Example: I made hard boil eggs and he decided that he was in the mood for egg salad. Well, I know that he really meant he was in the mood for ME to make the damn egg salad. Case in point, he said, I use mayo, right?, SMH, I was so close to saying, no, use the ketchup, but I kept that little thought in my head. I have learned over the years of our marriage, some thoughts are better left floating around my head. When the thoughts escape my lips, not so good. Sooooo we get past the point where, yes, mayo is required. Oh heavens, guess what? Peeling the flipping eggs was a real hardship. I look over at him as Im baking pumpkin bread (thanks to that incredible box I bought at Trader Joes), I see he has no clue how to peel an egg. I clear my throat to get his attention, take a hard boiled egg and put some pressure on it and roll it around slightly on the kitchen counter. Presto, magic, I learned this lil trick on FB, thats right, FB. Sooo, he then said, I swear, this is so stupid I could not make it up, you want me to roll a half peeled egg across the counter, whadda bout the germs. O-M-G! I reply as calmly as possible, No honey, the next egg, you try that maneuver on the next egg you wanna peel. Now, this entire time I have been trying to have a serious conversation with him but he was too focused on peeling the eggs, very badly I might add. He gets pissy and walks out of the kitchen.I put the pumpkin bread in the oven and roll the next few eggs, they peeled right off. I then called him, saying that he can continue to make the egg salad. Guess what happened? He could not locate the mayo. He would have had to move the milk! I give up! Do any of you have a husband or significant other like this? Lemme hear your stories!
