Executive Director, The National Association of Latino Independent Producers Hiring Organization: The National Association of Latino Independent Producers Submission Deadline: October 15, 2013 NALIP – The National Association of Latino Independent Producers, Inc. is a national, nonprofit membership organization that addresses the professional needs of Latinos and Latinas in film, media arts, new media and the entertainment community. NALIP seeks a dynamic and innovative Executive Director to lead and grow the organization, building on its core mission to foster creative media content within and about the Latino community. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial agent of change who is deeply connected to the work, mission and vision of the organization. 3-5 years experience in non-profit leadership and the concomitant skills of financial responsibility, fundraising ability, personnel management and empowerment, and strategic thinking. Able to develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders, including entertainers, studio executives, and leaders in the Latino community. Refined knowledge of the ever-changing entertainment industry. Expertise in the public media world preferred, including public television and advocacy media. Fluent in social media and website management, able to seize technological resources for dissemination of NALIP’s message. Proven experience and success in fundraising. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, donors and partners. Advocate with demonstrated ability to organize, form and advance policy initiatives. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Engenders trust and confidence through keen integrity. Proactive and flexible, able to problem solve and think creatively Must be passionate, engaging, mission-driven, forward thinking and resourceful. Able to travel. If necessary, willingness to relocate to Los Angeles. Spanish language skills a plus. Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent work experience is required.
