Exercising at low intensity will mean the % of fat you will burn - TopicsExpress

Exercising at low intensity will mean the % of fat you will burn will be high. This is referred to as training in the “Fat Burning Zone”. However, you will be actually burning less fat, and at a slower rate, than if you decided to train at a higher intensity. Why? If you were to run for 30min at a pretty good pace, where you felt “huffy puffy”, you would burn approx 300 calories of which around 30%+ of those calories come from fat (100 fat calories) If you were to walk for 30min you would burn approx 150 calories of which around 50%+ of those calories come from fat (75 fat calories). When we exercise harder the % of fat burnt will go down and carbohydrate % goes up. However, higher intensity exercise will mean more calories burnt and more fat burnt in actual terms For beginners or people who haven’t trained for a while low intensity exercise works very well as that will be a big increase to what you are used to. Try to improve on your workout a little each session. bzbc.au/training-fat-burning-zone/
