Exerpt # 4 (Why I believe in a Post- Trib rapture) In this segment I will use the trumpets and the feast to show the end time order... Remember, all theses things taken with the other things Ive posted are building blocks to this conclusion.. If we look into the OT where the feast are spoken about we will find that Christ was fulfilling the feast in the order that they were given.... 4 have been fulfilled 4 are yet to be fulfilled, and they are in order... (Lev 23:2 KJV) Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. 1. Passover: (Lev 23:5 NASB) In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. The Lord became our Passover sacrifice while on the cross... (1 Cor 5:7 NASB) Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. 2. Feast of unleavened bread: (Lev 23:6 NASB) Then on the fifteenth day of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; Messiahs sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible), making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life. (John 12:24 NASB) Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. (Heb 4:15 NASB) For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 3. The first fruits: (Lev 23:9-10 NASB) Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the FIRST FRUITS of your harvest to the priest. The feast of first fruits pointed to the resurrection of Christ.. He was the first fruits from the dead... (1 Cor 15:20 NASB) But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. (1 Cor 15:23 NASB) But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, 4. The feast of weeks (Pentecost): (Lev 23:15-16 NASB) ‘You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete sabbaths. 16 You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord. The counting or waiting 50 days pointed to the day of Pentecost after the resurrection when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the believers in Christ... The counting 50 days from the Sabbath pointed to when Christ said wait... (Luke 24:49 NASB) And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” (Acts 2:1-4 NASB) When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Up to this point I hope we can see that a pattern has been established, Christ was fulfilling the feast in the order that they were laid out in Leviticus and Numbers... Now lets look at the remaining 3 which Christ is yet to fulfill but will do so in the near future... 5. The feast of Trumpets: (Lev 23:23-24 NASB) Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by BLOWING OF TRUMEPTS, a holy convocation. This will be fulfilled when Christ returns to gather the church... (At His Coming)... (1 Thess 4:16 NASB) For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the TRUMPET OF GOD, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Cor 15:51-52 NASB) Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMPET; for THE TRUMPET will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. We will later come back to this and see exactly when the trumpet was blown.. But for now lets finish with the feast... 6. Feast of Atonement: (Lev 23:26-27,29 NASB) The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 27 “On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present an offering by fire to the Lord. If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people. This day represents the day of judgment which comes immediately after the rapture of the church... Whoever has not humbled himself and repented before that day wil be cut off.. (2 Thess 1:7-8 NASB) when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:38,40 NASB) Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” 7. Feast of Booth (Tabernacles): This feast represents when the Lord Jesus will be King over the earth and dwell among us in the millennium reign... (Lev 23:33 NASB) Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 34 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the FEAST OF BOOTHS for seven days to the Lord. (Zech 14:9,16-17 NASB) And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one. Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the FEAST OF BOOTHS. 17 And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. (Rev 20:4 NASB) Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 8. And there is indeed an 8th day ASSEMBLY that represents the New age when the new heavens and earth is made... (Lev 23:36 NASB) For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; IT IS AN ASSEMBLY. You shall do no laborious work. So now at this point I think anyone can see that the Lord has fulfilled half of the feast, and will in the short future fufill the rest of them, but how does this fit into my belief of a Post tribulation rapture? Lets go back and look at when the trumpet is blown since we found out that it represents the rapture of the church... When is the trumpet blown to gather the ELECT (the church)? (Matth 24:29-31 NASB) “But immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and they will GATHER together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. Does this sound and look familiar? (1 Thess 4:16 NASB) For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the TRUMPET OF GOD, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Cor 15:51-52 NASB) Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMPET; for THE TRUMPET will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. So we see that this trumpet that is blown is blown after the tribulation, and theres only one second coming of the Lord, and it happens in this order... 1 Cor 15:20 NASB) But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. (1 Cor 15:23-24 NASB) But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father Next excerpt will continue to show the order laid out in the book of Revelation...
