Exhorting police to mend their ways and attitude towards people and offer friendly and corrupt free services besides extending timely support as and when there is an incident occurs, Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to equip the department with all high technology like GPS, 4G, Internet and paraphernalia. During a high level review meeting with Chief Secretary, Dr Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma and others to get ready to revamp themselves to offer the best services to the people to ensure that they are with them. Often people feel pinch of harassment and needless over action by police which should be replaced by welfare Directing to maintain international standards of providing people friendly services, KCR asked to purchase 1650 four wheelers and 1500 two wheelers for regular patrolling he advised the police boss to take immediate measures to provide a uniform code comprising dark blue pants and sky blue shirts for the personnel to be like security of United Nations, while maintaining standards of London and new York policing system. He wanted them to be at the forefront to offer any sort of help. He also wanted that taxis and cabs in Hyderabad must be in same color and protect its brand image. The government will spend adequate funds for police welfare and the personnel should deliver the goods to people reaching out to their expectations. Later, in a press meet, Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy said that two high technology Police Commissioner Offices (one in Banjara Hills) will be set up soon with international standards.
