Exit polls: BJP may get majority in Jharkhand, hung assembly in J&K. NEW DELHI: Exit polls results have started coming in for the Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand assembly elections after voting ended in the two states on Saturday. Initial predictions by ABP News-Neilsen says the BJP will get about 52 seats in the 81-seat Jharkhand assembly while C-Voter predicts no clear majority for any party in Jammu & Kashmir with the PDP emerging as the single-largest party in the state with 32 to 38 seats in the 87-seat assembly. In Jammu & Kashmir, C-Voter predicts 32-38 seats for the PDP, 27-33 for the BJP, 8-14 for the National Conference and 4-10 for the Congress. In Jharkhand, ABP News-Neilsen predicts a clear majority for the BJP with the party expected to win 52 seats. The Congress is predicted to win 7 seats, RJD 1 and JD(U) 1. The assembly elections for the two states were held in five phases with the first phase starting on November 25. A record number of voters exercised their franchise in the militancy-hit Jammu & Kashmir which saw over 70% voting in the first two phases ignoring poll boycott calls from separatists. Voters in Jharkhand turned out in large numbers despite the Maoist threat in the state
