Most people assume to use His name in vain means to use it as a form of cuss or swear, but is that what it really means? vain, adj., without real significance, value, or importance; baseless or worthless To use the name of YHWH in vain would be to make it “without real significance, value, or importance; baseless and worthless.” When we replace the written TRUE Name of our Creator YHWH with LORD, Adonai or Ha Shem we take YHWH’s name in vain and break his Torah commandments.
