(Exo 20:7 TFV) Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Most people assume to use His name in vain means to use it as a form of cuss or swear, but is that what it really means? vain, adj., without real significance, value, or importance; baseless or worthless To use the name of YHWH in vain would be to make it “without real significance, value, or importance; baseless and worthless.” When we replace the written TRUE Name of our Creator YHWH with LORD, Adonai or Ha Shem we take YHWH’s name in vain and break his Torah commandments. YHWH put his name in the TaNaKH for a reason! According to Scripture and Yahuwahs own words we sin when we do not use His name when context calls for it, instead replacing it with VANITY...
