Exodus 27 Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’” 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. The day Moses came down from the mountain 3000 were slain. The law of Moses brought death and condemnation. No one could keep the Law perfectly,only Jesus. Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. The day the church was established in Mount Zion, 3000 were saved. the law of Christ is a law of life because it provides for the forgiveness of our sins. His spirit dwells inside us writes the law on our heart and gives us the power to say no to sin. 2 Corinthians 3:6 ... for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
