Expect Good Results Don’t see me as a righteous person, full of holiness and is perfect because of these things I have written on my wall. God chooses ordinary people for extraordinary work. The first lesson is, expecting the opposite. Like many others, I have failed God’s expectations several times. But instead of giving up, I moved closer to Him and healing was made possible. The reason why the Bible was written is to teach us salvation AND to teach us in expecting the opposite of what we see in this world. The sermon on the Mount was taught to us for us to be lifted up from the valley of hurts, pains, suffering, disappointment and other negative things. Expecting the opposites will surely give us relief in all these things. Opposites like we must give to receive, we must die to live, lose to gain or serve to lead. The Lord Jesus Christ once said “ He who loses his life for My(Jesus) sake will find it”, Matt.10:39. What could be God’s purpose of teaching us these things? We are his creation and he knew very well how weak we can be when a storm comes. He wants us to be emotionally ready by helping in our spiritual needs. When fear comes- expect that faith will sprang up inside of you. When sadness wants to befriend you- expect God’s joy to dwell in your heart. When sickness attacks your body- expect God’s healing hands to touch you. When crisis comes- expect God’s provision and blessings. When darkness wants to devour you- expect God’s light to shine upon you. Try practicing these things, of expecting a good result rather than waiting for the worst that is yet to come. What you expect, is what you get.
