Expectation Agreement Ruth 2: 2And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. Two level of agreement being sought for in this passage by Ruth, first is the level of agreement which brings her under the grace in the sight of the owner of the field, the second is to be in agreement with Naomi in whom she submitted herself too in Ruth 1:16-17 KJV) And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. “after him in whose sight I shall find grace” As believers we should always seek to find grace in His sight or keep ourselves under the umbrella or pathway of our Lords grace. Grace we must remember isn’t a license to sin Romans 6:1-2 KJV) 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Grace is the pathway of escape for all men if they choose. Ruth was looking for redemption, she was looking for the way of provision and in this we find the true grace of God. We find the true grace of the owner of the field which is God in His way of escape which is Jesus Christ our Kinsman Redeemer anything, anyone, or any other god will simply take us away from the grace of the owner of the field which is God. John 14:6 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So we should be in agreement with our Kinsman Redeemer for everything and then we can live in the realm of fulfilled expectations. “And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.” We must be in agreement of expectation with the spiritual authority of the house we have come to as Ruth was seeking the approval of Naomi to go to the field we must also seek approval from the our earthly spiritual authorities to go to the field this is Gods good pleasure Hebrews 13:16-17 KJV) 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. The writer of Hebrews inspired of the Holy Spirit makes a profound statement at the of verse 17 about the failure of obeying and those that have rule you “for that is unprofitable for you” so if we find ourselves out of agreement with those who have rule over us to the point of disobedience the we will find that are expectation are unprofitable, and obedience will bring us to the manifestation of profitable expectations. This must all be tempered with follow me as I follow Christ. What are your expectations? Are they the Lords expectations? Have you communicated your expectations to those whom God has placed in your life to help guide you through the process of realized expectation? These are the question of the fulfillment of your expectation. In Ruth’s obedience to agreement she had greater expectations fulfilled through Her Kinsman Redeemer as we have fulfilled through our Kinsman Redeemer Jesus Christ. Ruth 4:13 KJV) So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
