Expiration Dates: This issue has been a common debate for quite sometime. It is important that you understand, as a pay as you go facility, you are NOT required to purchase any punch cards or packages. These are options that we provide to assist those financially that attend classes frequently. However, these are not the same as gift cards that legally cannot have expiration dates. These are pre-payments for a specified number of classes within a specified time frame (similar to a regular dance studio tuition) that you are free to use for any scheduled class that is convenient for you. We must set limitations to the use of these credits as to avoid abuse by consumers and to ensure the studios ability to maintain operation as instructors are compensated as independent contractors based on class participation. These limitations are determined by the number of classes that we provide at the studio on a weekly basis (currently approximately 50) and not by the number of times a member wishes to attend classes as this is strictly an option. However, at no time have we ever stated that we would not make exceptions for extenuating circumstances such as severe illness, injury of a member or their family. We handle every situation on a case by case basis and make every effort to work with our studio members. Furthermore, the limitation is posted in conjunction with the price option everywhere it is listed, verbally explained upon accepting payment (or in writing for online purchases), and confirmed via email with specific details immediately upon purchase. Therefore we hold firm that this information is being provided to every person prior to making any purchase and will not make exceptions for any claim saying otherwise. The start date of any punch card or package is the same as the purchase date unless there is an active punch card or package already effective at which time the start date will be the expiration date of the current punch card or package.
