Our motto is that “You are Our Friend”, we are helping you to prepare your expeditions with the lowest possible cost yet still maintaining your comfort. We serve you as a traveling comrade, each with their own baggage, as we show you the most terrific destinations. We are not your ordinary tour and travel agent, who usually designs every little part of the trip. We value your freedom. Our itineraries are flexible according to the terrain, circumstances, and weather of our destinations. We give you the privilege of choosing your own sightseeing and dining spots, to suit your own budget and taste. Our History Explore Indonesia & World Independent Traveler was founded on November 18th, 2003, at Jalan Jaksa no. 5, Central Jakarta. Our initial brand was called Liburan Indonesia, and we only sold trips to Ujung Kulon National Park, Krakatoa, Baduy villages, and other overland trips in Java. It’s a specialty of ours to escort international guests to such trips. In 2005 we started to arrange year-long schedules with additional destinations such as Karimunjawa Islands, West Bali, Komodo Island, Lombok Island, and Banyak Islands of Aceh. We also started doing overseas trips: to Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands, to Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, and to celebrate new year’s eve in Thailand’s Samui Island. Our official name transformed into Explore Indonesia. In the following years, we were always adding new and rare destinations, such as Wakatobi Archipelago, Alor and Solor Islands, Rote Island, Selayar Island, and Taka Bonerate Islands. We continued to explore the Indochina countries like Laos and Vietnam, and expanded our destinations to China, specifically Xi’an, Guilin, Chengdu, and up until Tibet. Thus a new division was formed: World Independent Traveler. We had started to explore new countries in the recent years, such as India’s Kashmir, Ladakh, and Rajasthan regions. And we had just begun a new focus onto the Himalayas, especially to Nepal with its Annapurna Circuit. In the meantime we also had dived deep into Indonesia’s eastern corners, taking less direct unusual routes which are hidden paradises in themselves. For a Wayag trip we started the journey in Ternate, to go to Misool we started in Seram Island, and to Cenderawasih Bay we started in Biak. Our Destinations Our designed destinations are not like other tour and travels’ trips. We love all kinds of landscapes and sceneries, be it forest, sea, mountain, or islands. Most of our trips include natural destinations far from the reach of civilization, and sometimes hold quite a risk. Our journey is a journey of togetherness, equality, simplicity, and mutual happiness. We offer you the freedom to build your own paradise and experience the adventure of your lifetime.
