Extend the olive branch. Accept that you may not get the whole - TopicsExpress

Extend the olive branch. Accept that you may not get the whole truth out of the situation, yet understand that the objective is not always finding the truth for the sake of condemning, but rather finding a place to build peace from which is the greater truth - after which accountability, integrity and objective observation become tools of evaluating yourself instead of others. This builds your strength. This becomes a place where positive growth can be deposited into your account and on your account. This technique is called grace, which is also necessary when the the truth you find requires active forgiveness and active humility. In being active, grace will serve as a shield to you, for active grace means that you forgive not only what has occurred but more urgently, what is happening now and what is possible or even likely in the future. How often has our past dictated our future because of our lack of forgiveness or our fear of moving on? Furthermore, if one can learn to store up grace in preparation of what has yet to occur, one will find an unshakable peace and confidence in knowing it can be used to bind unexpected chaos. Grace is the unearned forgiveness that Christ Jesus extends to us which we so often deny others, including ourselves. Grace is the armor necessary to move through, around and away from any stormy situation or fiery trap that may arise against us. This is why forgiveness and humility are so freeing when applied abundantly. Grace lightens our own burdens as much as it does others. This is why the lack of grace can stop us from finding success, happiness and security. If a storm has formed in front of or around you, its up to you, through the power of Christ, to prepare and prevail. If you can fill yourself with grace early, you will be ever ready to deal with any surprise that may come your way. Extend the olive branch and find that it is you who will benefit from the forgiveness you offer.
