Extract from novel: That was it. No great fanfare or blinding light, no great emotional experience. And yet, in that split second, faith came, and Jim believed. He knew that God existed. He knew that God had created all things. He knew that Adam had been the first man in this world, and that evolution was a lie. He knew that Jesus had come to die for sinners. He knew that Jesus had died for him, and that he’d risen from the dead. And above all, he knew that God had called him by name, and that he was not alone. There was so much that he didn’t understand, but knew that he’d been changed on the inside from an unbeliever to a man of faith. As he called out to God in gratitude for this revelation, he felt the weights lift, and something not good being swept away from within him. He would realise later, that the spirit of fear that had developed within him, had been torn out by the root, and although at times he would fear for his own safety, and still see the craft on occasion, he would never again be overcome by it. With tears flowing and supernatural joy leaping in his heart, he picked up the Bible again, but now with a thirst for Living Water and a hunger for the Bread of Heaven.
