Extract from the TalkHard Blog: Mind Numbing Drivel It amazes me what passes for the entertainment in this country these days. The mind numbing crap that is being fed to us by these people. Are we that desperate for entertainment that we settle for the likes of Darren Should-be-whacked-in-the-head Simpson and Riaan The-has-been van Heerden. What happened to the legends of radio? The guys who made this medium great and has awakened our imaginations. I am referring to the likes of Kevin Savage, Alex Jay and the list goes on and on. A year or so ago I was fortunate enough to come across a radio station that brought back that feeling of hope for the future of radio. This radio station wasnt your normal run of the mill FM radio station. This was an online radio station with only 3 DJs namely Kevin Savage, Paul Rotherham and Gavin Buckle called worldtunes.net. None of the crap we are force fed on terrestrial radio. Just clean, healthy entertainment. OH how I miss it... Another question is since when are words like Shit and Bliksem and Kak and Ass a few other words acceptable language on the air but words like weed and smoke in music gets edited out. I am starting to wonder where the world is going... Television is not much better thus my refusal to watch what is being force fed to us. The likes of 7de Laan, Isidingo and all the other local crap is what I think is destroying the minds of our youth... actually it destroys the minds of everybody who watches it. Anywho... people are sheep and they will keep on following the masses.... So Be It!
