Extremely Important!!!!!!!! Attention Canadians Public Consultation Date Delayed! Citizens, Due to an overwhelming response and requests to speak to the panel, the Royal Society has delayed, for the 2nd time, the July 8th date for public input. (See their notice here). We will continue to apply pressure on Health Canada and the Royal Society regarding this conflicted panel and corrupted process, and work towards a fair and independent review of Health Canada’s Safety Code 6. If you have already requested to speak to the panel, and received confirmation as such, you should have received an email this past Friday re the postponement and stating that you do not need to re-confirm your request to speak for the new date. If not, please inquire with the RSC Interim Officer, Communications and Expert Panels Russel MacDonald at [email protected] . Once accepted, you should be notified of the new date directly from Royal Society. If you have not requested to speak (either live or by video conference) or were not accepted initially, we ask that you reconsider and send the Royal Society your request to be a part of the consultation process. Please do so by clicking here. We believe our concerns are being heard, and the actions we have taken to-date have been impact-full. While there is no evidence of intention to thwart public input from this panel, that is indeed what may be happening, given the date changes and time limitations. We have reached out to the Hon. Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health and asked for a meeting to review: - The conflicted panel members and re-iterate that the panel be disbanded - The apparent secrecy on whether the panel is considering biological effects in their review of Safety Code 6 Thank you for your continued support and actions regarding this flawed Royal Society panel and process Health Canada has chosen to review Safety Code 6.
