Extremely disappointing News! Snow White was all set to travel yesterday to a new life in the USA, after months and months of waiting...and her adoption fell through at the last minute. Snow White will not get her Happy Ever After now this Christmas. Snow White is a beautiful and friendly dog born and raised on the streets of Cairo. In her young life, Snow White was alone. No pack, no family, living off of whatever rubbish she could find. Then one day a beautiful, kind young woman named Melissa began feeding her and Snow White managed to survive a little longer. But Melissa had to move from the area, and soon Snow White was back scrounging for food, all alone. Snow White longed for company and,being a friendly dog, she often sought out humans. Unfortunately not all humans like street dogs and I found her one day, yelping from a beating by a bowab who didnt like having her around. I fed her daily, but she would run after my bus in the middle of the street, oblivious to cars, to danger. She would follow me home, whining forlornly when I would have to leave her. It soon became apparent that Snow White was far too friendly and naive to survive on the streets all alone, with no pack. Mai Bassioni and I took her to ESAF Page (The Egyptian Society of Animal Friends) to keep her safe from the streets. The staff at ESAF are amazing and have treated Snow White as part of their family. They have provided her with food, shelter and care for many months. Thank u from the bottom of our hearts, ESAF
