Eyes wide with tears, Please mom, can we keep her? I promise Ill walk her everyday! (Now I never have to look for the leash, cause its always where I left it) Fatimahs gone now and Im all by myself. (Guess me being here doesnt count) So I said, Yes we can keep the puppy She was too cute to resist, when people saw her they would say Awe, come here Now its Awe, here she comes! We used to walk her off the leash, now Im close to a six pack from restraining her while shes wearing a leash and a halter. She used to fetch sticks and balls and drop them right in front of us. Now she fetches my work shoes and its like being on the set of Insanity to get emback from her. We started out training her to sit, by giving her doggie treats and praising her. Then we graduated to sit and a few left over cereal crumbs. Now its Sit down Damn it!, (which is actually just as effective as the doggie treats) When we wanted to keep something from her we used to put it on a chair. Now we put it on top of the refridgerator. I love the love she shows me when I get home from work, I thought that was exclusive. Until a friend came over and she ran and jumped on her like she was back from Desert Storm. Shes so high maintenance, she refuses to eat Value Time dog snacks, and she spit out my Tuna Casserole. When the little kids ask me can she do any tricks? I tell em Yeah, she can eat all the Gravy Train, and leave the dry dog food no matter how well you mix it together (I dont think they like that answer) We have a fenced yard so we let her run back there freely. Till one day our gracious neighbor returned her cause she found a way out. So the next day, hoping to get lucky, I let her out again. This time a stranger walking her own dog brought her back. Scott said, Helen you cant do that again, I said o.k. I was so worried that shes half Pittbull but then I watched as she ran inside the house when the meter reader came. Yet, with all that, I wouldnt trade her for the world, but 3 installments of $19.99 would suffice, and Ill throw in her crate, an added bonus, as shes never in it. Sorry so long, thanks for letting me rant!!!
