Ezekiel 1:4 "in the center of the fire, a gleam as of CHASHMAL CHASHAH- to be silent MILAH- speech .................... silent speech Kabbalists teach that divine speech brought otherness into existence through a chain of four universes: World of Emanation- dimension of pure spirit World of Creation- dimension of intellect World of Formation- dimension of emotions World of Action- dimension of material Seemingly the culmination of creation, we are the farthest from the root. We have GALUT(exile)- like duality, this arises from creation SHEKHINAH(Divine Presence) also a kind of exile Duality and exile are starting points---all worlds are still ONE Our quest is to return to the center, the heart Unify intellect, emotion, and action in order to return to SPIRIT This is accomplished through prayer or meditations In prayer, speech is necessary, but SILENCE takes precedence The bind that holds speech and prayer together is silence, for without silence, the words would be a jumbled mess through quietness and stillness of heart we may fuse with Love/God/Jah/Allah/Yawheh through silence we transcend speech, create Wholeness to cycle with Oneness
