Ezra 9-(Look for the repeated word)-And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem. Did you notice the word revive? True revival comes from God! He quickens the heart and soul! He gives grace and mercy. We simply trust in Him! We look to Him in all things, we believe His hand is upon us, and we live with a bold assurance in Jesus Christ! Today let us pray for a revival in the hearts of believers! A return to the desire to bring God glory and honor. A drive in our being to love God and watch the overflow of such a desire! Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart!
