Ezra Pound........Undoubtedly one of the most important figures in the AngloSaxon world of the 20th century. While he is universally acknowledged as one of the greatest poets the World has seen, it is his uncompromising and profound resistance against Usura that makes him stand out as a towering figure. He was very well versed in the monetary reform programs of the age, favoring Social Credit. He visited Woergl in 1934, where Mayor Unterguggenberger had introduced local scrip with a demurrage that solved the Depression in the region. He was the intellectual leader of an informal movement of brainpower unparallelled in Modern History, which basically is little more than the story of how the Love of Money came to rule the Globe. He spent the war years in Italy, making radio shows attacking the Allied war effort, which was of course simply doing the dirty work for the Bankers. And he paid a steep price for it too: twelve years incarcaration in a mental institution. And he was lucky: they were going to try him for treason, but tortured him with isolation before in their POW camps, which precipitated a mental breakdown. During these twelve years, he coached Eustace Mullins in writing ´Secrets of the Federal Reserve´, which proved to be a key book in keeping the pre war spirit of resistance alive. The current Truth Movement in many respects simply builds on what the men of the pre war era (Kitson, Douglas, Soddy, Feder) had been developing. It´s a direct line and Ezra Pound is an unforgettable part of that.
