FACEBOOK FRIDAY WRaP-Up It’s Friday again….I’m trying to concentrate on sharing my week with you as Bryan plays old Red Sovine’s “Getty-up Go” on the Iphone and aggravates the cat….I’ll do my best….so here’s what happened this week around our 2,000 square foot of fun… 1) Since we don’t believe in taking out a second mortgage to rent a fleet of helicopters to take him and forty of his best friends to Main Event …we just made him a strawberry birthday cake, sang happy birthday and gave him a phone so we could stalk him. Happy 14th birthday to Ben. 2) Taking turns eating with the 2 foot long BBQ fork has backfired. I have had more messes to clean up that I can stand. There has to be a better way…. 3) I’ve only seen Bryan cry three times during our 15 years of marriage – 1) when Ben was born, 2) when Blane was born and 3) this week, when he found out McDonald’s brought the McRib back. It was touching. 4) Everyone’s fighting a battle of some sort….if we remember that, being kind is an easy thing to do. 5) Elane had her surgery and is on the mend – we hope you will all join in praying for a full and speedy recovery for her. 6) Blane purchased a bag of fake mustaches and requested job applications…surprised Leroy with an inflatable lizard filled with water….and put a giant “Water and Watch Me Grow” sting ray in the fish aquarium. ..in his spare time he went to school. 7) I got to spend an afternoon with my dearest friend Kathy on Saturday – there truly is no one like her in the world! I wish we could get together more often. 8) Work has been keeping my busy…a neglected Bryan turned on my favorite song one evening, “Amarillo by Morning” and asked me to dance. Atop a pile of mail scattered and shredded by Leroy…I smelling of grease and he not caring….we danced. 9) I’m happy to know so many helpful and genuinely caring people. Special thank you’s go out this week to four fantastic ladiesCassie Oats Lewis, Kessie Sims Avey, MLee Merket and Shannon Frankl – thank you for helping me feed 37 kids on Thursday! You guys are angels. 10) Homework….football….flipping burgers….assessing oilfield operations…running a business….aggravating a wild housecat….. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might….” Ecclesiastes 9:10. No matter what we do, so long as we give it everything we have…we will be blessed. Hope you guys have a great week!
