FACT AND HISTORY RIO DE JANEIRO, May 14 (UPI) --The 2014 FIFA World Cup will kickoff in a little less than a month when host nation Brazil faces off against Croatia on June 12. Thirty-two teams will play in the 32-day tournament and this video should get you a little more informed about the tournament with a fact about each team. Based on the first one, it would seem that Brazil -- World Cup winner in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002 -- should probably be the favorite. Heres a sampling of some World Cup facts: Brazil -- Has never lost a home game since 1975. The tournaments current 32-team format was used for the first time in France in 1998. Netherlands -- The only team to reach the World Cup finals three times without a win. Tore Keller of Sweden, then 33, was the oldest player to score FIFA World Cup hat-trick. Cameroon -- Most World Cup appearances of any African nation. The biggest scoring line in the history of World Cup qualifiers occurred when Australia beat American Samoa 31-0 in April 2001. Spain -- Has the record with 29 consecutive undefeated competitive games. Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal is named after U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
