FACTS ON FRANCISTOWN WEST: 1.The high court ruling has been reserved by the judge and will be delivered on 29th November 2013. Please note that this would have been the day AFTER the elections. The BDP cannot therefore proceed to the Court of Appeal since there is no ruling to present there. 2. Some voters in the constituency have petitioned the President and he has power under the Electoral Act to respond in the public interest. 3. It is proper that the court process be allowed time to run its full course and this is why the option to POSTPONE the bye election was chosen.
