FAITH- THE SENSE OF THE UNSEEN. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen(Heb 11:1). This verse would be divided for better understanding. »Faith Is The Substance Of Things Hoped For: The word, substance implies support or foundation. It also means reality, totally different frm wht is unreal,imaginary or deceptive. FAITH is the FOUNDATION on which all our HOPES for the Future are BUILT. It substantiates promises of God which we hope for, as future in fulfillment, making them present realities to us. Faith and Hope are similar but...By faith alone we are sure of eternal things that they ARE: but by hope were confident that WE SHALL HAVE them. »Faith Is The Evidence Of Things Not Seen: EVIDENCE means the conviction or persuation of things not seen; the soul thereby seeing what the eye cannot see. THING NOT SEEN refer to the whole, invisble &spiritual world. Faith believes what it sees not, for what you see does not require faith. FAITH makes the world transparent to us that we can see the Creator behind His creation(Rom 1:20). Faith is very important in a believers walk with God for without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him(Heb 11:6). HOW TO STEGNGTHEN FAITH 1. Regard the unseen world as an actually existing Kingdom of divine truth and power. 2.Separate the heart open, in holy separation from the world; in meditation and adoration and expectation, the unseen world can become more and near than the seen.
