FAITH CLINIC: CHECK YOUR FEAR PRESURE “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove for your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates.” 2Co_13:5 FEAR NOT: GOD told Abraham, FEAR NOT, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Gen_15:1 To find a phrase many times in scripture is not common but “FEAR NOT” arguable occurs in about 365 times in the bible, which means one pill a day can be taken for a whole year and eventually be cured of fear, before I continue with this divine medical diagnosis allow me to clear one popular error or heresy if you like. The bible urges us to “fear not” but it says many times to “FEAR GOD” don’t forget that when it comes to literally fearing GOD the Devils scored A+ for “…………… the devils also believe, and tremble” Jas_2:19, but yet they PERISH!!!! Because they are in bondage, when the Bible says fear God it means revere God, we are urged to love God as FATHER …“ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” Rom_8:15 FEAR NOT: Let us check our FEAR PRESURE. Fear started from the inception of creation, in the Garden of Eden, Fear was born from SIN and must be banished when SAVED, “And ADAM said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I WAS AFRAID, because I was naked; and I hid myself”. Gen 3:10. Fear comes from unbelief, it is a sign that the person does not trust in God, does not trust in the total package of salvation by Grace, as if the Grace of God is not sufficient. When we get to the CROSS there is nothing more but to trust, “For here have we no continuing city……….. Heb_13:14. I met a guy on facebook, Oh my!! A wonderful person, he told me that he does not pray for anything anymore…..he trust in Christ….that God knows the best for his life!!!!!....Wow! this is what I am talking about we need to completely trust in Him for everything, name it, safety, provision, healing etc……. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths Pro 3:5 Even the master puts it this way “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” Mat 6:25 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Mat 6:30 “O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH” ……..see how fear and anxiety is the enemy of FAITH? FEAR NOT: Many times I see Ministers of God with military entourage, they go about with security guards armed with gun, there was one that stand out in my memory, I find it difficult to forget….a famous Pastor during Easter was invited to preach about the CROSS, came and in his procession had two Isuzu rodeo jeeps filled with army men in full regalia, armed to the teeth!!!, and I wonder……are these not the men that preached the powerful words of our God saying that the LORD is our shield and bucker, God is our shepherd….strong tower etc I remember illustrious Ezra a Priest who when embarking on a perilious journey refused the king’s offer of a military escort to Jerusalem…..if you will deal with Gods word, first DEAL WITH YOUR FEARS AND COWARDICE, have they quickly forgotten that “ ………. the righteous are bold as a lion Pro_28:1? Let us try to align our lives with the sacred word of God. FEAR NOT: The solution is simple, FEAR and FAITH….worry and meditation……..anxiety and hope takes the same effort but you must be single eyed “ The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; “………. Luk_11:34 therefore instead of fear exercise faith by “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1Pe_5:7 FEAR NOT: So remember as soon as a man is recued by the dragnet of the MASTER FISHERMAN and commander in Chief of our salvation, as soon as you are onboard Salvation ship cast all your fear overboard into the ocean and lean upon your savior as he sits upon the THRONE far above principalities, powers where there is no longer fear, worry or anxiety. “After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, FEAR NOT, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Remember fear is not of GOD and fear is TORMENT “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath TORMENT. He that feareth is not made perfect in love 1Jn_4:18 , FEAR NOT!!!…….. may God help us in JESUS NAME.
