FAITH IN NATURE The view that nature should be allowed to run its course, that there should be large tracts of landscape turned over to wilderness in not well represented by conservation professionals in Britain. It may be due to the fact that there is no wilderness left here to enjoy and compare. As such many make their way into the industry through voluntary work. Here they are often handed a billhook and bow saw. And usually some poor sapling is gonna get it. Mark Fisher is perhaps one of the most vocal proponents of the let nature run its course point of view. His arguments are well founded and backed up with evidence and observation.
