FAITH WORKS WONDERS Faith in God is like a voucher used by students to buy snacks at the tuck-shop, or a cheque a customer renders to claim money at the cashier desk in a banks. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God has made generous provision for all the needs of His children through Jesus, only faith and patience can bring them to physical reality. Some years back l listed the names of seven great international schools in Lagos on a paper, and l prayed earnestly that God would give me the privilege of working with one of them. So l began to apply by faith. Shortly one of them invited me for an interview and turned me down, another one invited me and turned me down, the third one invited me and turned me down as well. On this third one l refused to give up. Its a school of both white and black children. So l kept sending my application online every month believing the position is mine. A year later, the same organisation invited me and the job was mine. It was the beginning of wonderful things in my life. Then when l resumed the first day, sitting at the lobby (reception), a guy was also invited for an interview for the position of an ICT teacher, with whom l shared the wonder of my faith. He drew close and held my hand and prayed, O Lord, l hold the hand of your servant to key into this faith and l say this job is mine in Jesus name. After his interview, he received a message that he was not considered fit for the position. So he encouraged himself. A week later, he was called to resume with immediate effect. We both celebrated the faithfulness of God. Therefore, friend, I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24
