FAITH..what do we really mean when the first words we echo I have faith when adversity strikes? Do we mean we have faith in faith, or do we mean that we have faith something specific or special we want to happen will happen? The foundation of our hope is Faith and the key that unlocks that hope is faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, therefore, faith means Faith in God solely(period). Faith in What? 1)Faith in his Wisdom, Hes wise enough to know whats best, 2)Faith in his Goodness, Hes good enough to give us the best, and 3)Faith in hisPower, Hes powerful enough to do the job (whatever it is) that needs to be done. When we put our hope in something other than God, we are soliciting disappointment. Christ is the Solid Rock, all other is Sinking Sand.
